Fear & Anxiety In Uncertain Times
Updated: Mar 21
It’s so easy to let these uncertain times undermine our peace and serenity. The virus has affected every single one of us. If not, physical illness, then emotional and spiritual. We are
not immune to the affects of this. There is a lot of fear in the world and it is seen through the media, walking through the grocery store and seeing empty shelves, the hair dressers where there has always been lively conversation and basically anywhere we go, there is conversation regarding the virus. A lot of people are working from home, some are out of work due to the governing laws of closing specific industries and then there’s many individuals caring for the ill in the health care industry. With all this change which we are not in control of comes fear. With fear comes anxiety. We are in a world, temporarily of an unknown future. That would scare anyone!! So, what can we do to get through this time without going crazy, feeling a sense of calm and peace. With all my knowledge on how to keep peaceful, how to let things go and stay detached…I am struggling as well. That’s why I wanted to share with you what I have been doing to stay sane and calm. I have been sharing about my fears with trusted friends, I get outdoors; either a walk, a hike or mountain bike for me. It allows me to release the built up energy within my body from just being in the changing environment. I also meditate on a daily basis. With that said, I want to help you find peace within yourself, even if it’s for a short period of time.
